Exceeding Your Design Needs
Sterling Construction Group Inc is a design/build firm that specializes in luxurious home and condo remodeling projects. We are led by Corey Doughty who has had a passion for remodeling since growing up in the construction industry.

Corey Doughty
CEO / Owner
Sterling Renovation and Design was founded in October of 2015. Corey Doughty, with a degree in Business Management & Entrepreneurship from Florida Gulf Cost University, and a General Contractors state license, decided to start the business to have an impact in the lives of clients and in the communities in which he lives and works. Corey grew up around the construction business in Maine, working summers in the many facets of residential and commercial building. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army and served in the infantry for four years until being honorably discharged and moving on to the next phase of his career. Since moving to Naples over 20 years ago, Corey has been trained and groomed by some of the area’s most prestigious luxury home builders and earned many certifications and accreditations along the way. He has worked his way up through the ranks, to project manager where he began learning the “other” side to construction. Over the last 15 years Corey has been driven to perfect his role as a project manager and small business owner by understanding the client relationship, billing methods, construction scheduling, and trade partner relationships. Rather than going to work for another large builder, he desired to own the company so he could control the quality of the product being built and the process in which it was built. He didn’t just want to perform a job for compensation but wanted direct contact with the customer so he could better understand the customer’s passion about their project and then build that into the dream of each person for whom he worked.

Joe Spissac
Project Manager
Joe is a native Floridian, starting out in the construction industry as soon as he was old enough to hold a hammer. His father was an electrical contractor and handyman growing up, teaching Joe how to read blueprints before he could read books. After receiving his Eagle Scout award in high school, Joe pursued his education at the University of South Florida in Mechanical Engineering. While in college, he found a passion in project management in the construction industry, working for a general contractor part time while still attending classes. Post-graduation, he used his education and skills to efficiently plan, organize, and schedule kitchen, bath, full home remodels, as well as home additions. When you don’t find him on the job site with his boots on, he enjoys fishing, scuba diving, camping, and flying airplanes.
